A founding member of PMBA, Chris is a Software Engineer and resides in the Manayunk/Roxborough section of Philadelphia. Chris graduated with a Bachelors degree in Economics from Drexel University. Chris helped found PMBA as a part of the original executive committee and is in the first year of his 2nd term as a BoD member. Chris is our founding webmaster and has developed a majority of the PMBA website. He has been a mountain biker for 6 years but has been on two wheels most of his life as a professional motocross racer as well as racing BMX for many years. He enjoys riding the parks of Philadelphia but also enjoys riding downhill at places like Spring Mountain and Mountain Creek, NJ.
Jonathan Pearce is an independent consultant on financial and data-related issues to healthcare providers and purchasers. Having been somewhat sedentary earlier in life, the discovery of mountain biking and other outdoor recreational activities in his 40s was a significant mid-life change for him. Although he lives in New Jersey his primary biking area is at Wissahickon, where he learned to ride about 8 years ago. Currently one of the PMBA Vice Presidents, he manages many of the activities of the club, including skills clinics, joint activities with the equestrian community and other similar events. He was one of the original Board members and was reelected to his final 3-year term in 2010. Jon has a BS in engineering, an MBA in finance, various Microsoft certifications and is a CPA.
Paul Harris is a consultant in the real estate development and construction management fields who provides services to a diverse client base that includes the Federal Transportation Administration, commercial developers, and civil design engineers. Paul graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Civil Engineering and resettled back to the Philadelphia area after retiring from the US Army as a Major. Paul has been riding mountain bikes since 1996, and was a founding board member of PMBA, where his primary focus has been trail development and maintenance projects, as well as teaching at clinics. Paul currently resides in Roxborough, and rides a variety of local trails regularly. Paul is also a LEED AP who works to create green, sustainable projects for his clients as well as for local trail projects. Paul has been serving as PMBA’s president since September 2010. Paul also serves as president of a 58 townhome homeowner association, and as a trail captain for the Friends of Creshiem Trail, and is a member of FOW.
The Wissahickon is where I love to ride. My bike is a full suspension black Cannondale ( a Pennsylvania company) Gemini 06 full through-axel frame, with a Fox RC2 Van front fork, and a fox Dhx coil-shock.
I have known several members here for over 25 years and been on several biking trips with my friends to: Whistler BC (02, 04, 06) Moab UT (2000, 04), Sun Valley ID (02), Harrisonburg VA (05, 06), Asheford NC (03) , Bolder CO (05) and Fruita CO (06, 07), plus many more...
I look forward to having the opportunity to grow this organization and have a positive impact on the community around me as well as for sport of Mt. Biking in Philadelphia and the surrounding area.

Rich (a.k.a. Rico) has 15 years of experience as a certified public accountant and has provided accounting and consulting services for clients in the for-profit, healthcare, non-profit, and insurance industries. Rich holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from LaSalle University and resides in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
Rich began mountain biking in 2007 and has been a member of the Philadelphia Mountain Biking Association ("PMBA") since then. He has donated his time by volunteering at PMBA events and several trail maintenance days, and has been a member of the Board of Directors since April 2011. As an avid mountain biker, he enjoys volunteering my time to PMBA, since it is such a positive organization that gives back to the mountain bikers and the community.
Kris has served as a board member since 2009 and as Secretary since 2010 (http://www.phillymtb.org/secretary-minutes/bod-minutes). Prior to being elected to the board he volunteered for years at trail days, clinics, and many other events. He also helps maintain http://www.phillymtb.org and is responsible for developing the PMBA Wissahickon trail conditions iPhone application (http://www.phillymtb.org/iphone).
Outside of PMBA Kris is a professional software engineer who has earned a master's degree from Lehigh University and has worked for the U.S. Department of Defense, Siemens Healthcare, and currently, a local technology start-up company. He has owned his home in East Falls since 2007 and grew up in nearby West Chester, PA.
While failing to avoid poison ivy and stinging nettle on our local trails during the summertime, Kris still enjoys riding his locally made single speed EWR with friends and encouraging new riders as they learn to love mountain biking in Philadelphia.

I am an attorney at a mid-sized regional law firm - www.flastergreenberg.com - where I focus my practice on environmental law and litigation, renewable energy development, sustainability law and commercial and regulatory matters. I originally hail from New York City but moved to the great City of Philadelphia in 2006, where I currently reside in Center City. I have been mountain biking in the northeast and mid-atlantic for almost 20 years. In the past I was a mountain biking trip leader for youth. I joined PMBA in the fall of 2007. My work on the board focuses on legal matters, risk management and policy. I enjoy cross-country, all-mountain and downhill riding.
Kelly is a born & raised Philadelphian who presently works as a Contract Administrator for Iron Mountain Information Management; and resides in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. Kelly joined the Philadelphia Mountain Biking Association (PMBA) in October 2007 & was elected on to the PMBA BoD in September 2008 elections. Since accepting her position on the BoD Kelly has been involved in the Outreach & Activity committee with the primary focus on obtaining & strengthening our relationship with both industry & non-industry sponsors; as well as focusing on various administrative tasks for the organization.
Jacalyn is chemist in Research and Development at GlaxoSmithKline, Plc (GSK) and resides in Malvern, PA. She has been an avid mountain biker for 12 years and a member of PMBA since moving to the Philadelphia region in 2007. She accepted a Board of Directors (BoD) position in December 2010. As a BoD member she headed the Rally in the Valley committee; our annual fund raising campaign and is a member of the activities committee, which is responsible for PMBA's MTB skills clinics, Take a Kid Mountain Bike Day, and Mountain Bike Philly.
Cat is a designer at the large architecture and engineering firm Ballinger and lives and works in center city Philadelphia. Originally from California, Cat has a B.A from UC Santa Cruz in Mathematics, a M.A. in Mathematics from U.C. Santa Barbara, a M. ARCH from The University of Texas, Austin and is a LEED A.P. While in Texas, Cat was the Captain of the UT Women's Cycling Team and competed in Collegiate Road Nationals in 2007 and 2008. After moving to Philadelphia in 2008, Cat began spending a great deal of time mountain biking after she was introduced to the trails in the Wissahickon by a PMBA Skills Clinic. Cat joined the Board of Directors of PMBA in 2010, and her work focuses on outreach, marketing and public relations.
Matt Stiegler, PMBA's newest board member, is an attorney in solo practice focusing on federal habeas corpus litigation. He lives with his wife and toddler daughter in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of northwest Philadelphia. He joined the PMBA board in September, 2011, and is a member of Friends of the Wissahickon. He rides an Ibis Mojo HD.
