Hi all,
Just letting you know that we are gonna have a swell day! I command the weather to cooperate!
All skill levels are welcome, but no matter your skill, I hope everyone will learn something new.

Thank you for attending Philadelphia Mountain Bike Association (PMBA)'s the 5th Annual Rally in the Valley on Saturday, April 16, 2011
Despite the rain, we had about 150 people come out and raised over $3000 (after expenses) for trail work and mountain bike advocacy in the Philadelphia and surrounding area.
About 20 riders took Harlan Price's skills clinic which had rave reviews; so we're trying to get him to put on a intermediate/advanced clinic later this year.

We've been lucky with weather in the past so everybody go find something wooden to knock on!
Let's bicycle boogie!
cant wait to chat with a fellow southerner about how much we miss boiled peanuts and good BBQ.
Getting super psyched for the event. Close to $10,000 in merchandise give-aways this year! Including a 2011 Breezer Thunder, donated by Breezer Bikes and a 2009 Kona Dawg Deluxe, donated by Trophy Bikes.
All participants will be walking away with a goodie bag with tire levels donated by REI, Dirtrag Magazines, Honey Stingers, Myoplex by EAS, and water bottles.
We'll be having a pig roast again this year and plenty of meat-free dishes! Tasty Twister will be bringing around those hot pretzels which you can wash down with an Arizonia Tea. Once again our local grocery chains have pitched in Giant, Acme, and Wegmans.
Last but not least, we'll be "plugged in" this year. Clear Wireless will be on had with some hotspots.
So no matter what the weather, it's worth coming down to support PMBA and our mission to maintain and create sustainable trails and to advocate for mountain bikers.
Alright everyone... start doing the sun dance for the Ralley. Remember think dry for next Friday & Saturday (mother nature can get her day of showers on Sunday if needs be)
The Rally is a RAIN or SHINE event. So be there.
Remember that the rally is our only Fundraiser.
While riding the Wiss is part of the event, so talking to local bike shops that support PMBA, eating some good food and winning biker-related swag!
We'll keep you posted to any changes to the schedule.
There is a chance that Saturday morning will be cloudy only.
The Rally will start at 8AM at Wiss. Parking at Northwestern Lot.
We will hold all the riding events we can based on the weather and trail conditions.
No matter what, we will have the supporter tents, door prizes and pig roast (with a vegetarian option).
Mad River (4100 Main St # 400 Philadelphia, PA 19127) has been kind enough to open their doors for a private PMBA party at 1:00PM. If the weather is really poor, we will have the lunch and raffle at Mad River in addition to a post-rally party. Come out an socialize with your fellow riders and support Mountain Bike Advocacy in Philadelphia.
We will update phillymtb.org as the weather unfolds.

All,
The skills clinic will be run by HARLAN PRICE; a professional endurance mountain bike racer who resides in philadelphia.
Come out an learn from a pro!!!
The clinic is included in the $25 festival ticket.
