so- despite our great press the CH local, and a staff writer at that, published an article this week on a mtb rider cull (analogy to the deer cull thats on) and tried to make it about deer but basically wrote that MTB's should be banned from all trails and we should be sterilized so we dont produce more like minded people. yes. he used that word and im just disgusted. the fact that the paper would publish such an article is disgusting in and of itself. and the fact that it is a staff writer. even worse. im very dissapointed and sickened and angry.
He wrote: of course i would never suggest a cull of mountain bikers but i would support a sterilization program. if bouncing on a bike seat hasnt alreay rendered all of the males sterile, then a few well placed pzp darts from peta sharpshooters would do the trick. that would stop them from breeding and prevent a lot of future damage to the park ecosystem.Â
Write to the CH local demanding the immediate removal of Jim Harris as a writer and demand an apology for their printing such an inflamatory article.
