Eroded trail near Roxborough Ave that is filled with Xmas trees

Yesterday Dave and I worked on fixing the trail near Roxborough Ave that is filled with Xmas trees. The work we did is merely a temporary fix that will require constant maintenance. The solution to the problem involves the Streets department installing a sewer inlet to catch all of the water coming down Roxborough Ave before it enters the park.

I created an issue on the SeeClickFix web site requesting the installation of a  sewer inlet. This is an online version of 311 and I have reported issues before and all of them have been resolved within several weeks.

There is a "I want this fixed too!" option that people can click on. It would be great if we could get 10 or 20 people to add their votes to give this issue a higher priority. Fixing this erosion problem is very important for WRV and seeing a bunch of PMBA names added to the list of those people who want the problem fixed is a painless way to build some good will.

Josh, I was through that area

Josh, I was through that area on Wed night, but didn't do the climb up or ride down. I skipped the climb since my legs felt like mush. I did climb up the access road to Summit Ave and rode over to Demo 1. On top behind the Inn it wasn't washed out, but down on Forbidden Drive it looked like they had a mud slide. It was cleared, but you could see all the debris laying on the side of the path.

If I get out early tomorrow morning I'll check it out.

On  side note, I'm going to miss those Christmas trees off of Roxborough Ave, however that access trail is getting hammered this year with all the run off!!

Keep the rubber side down.........

Josh, is that the hill you

Josh, is that the hill you guys repaired behind VG? Either way that is bad. Nice toad. The hill, which I call knarly hill, where you did work, should be getting addressed this year. THat is critical and it washing out bad from water dumping off FPC property, their Dist 3 yard...

Gully Repair

This gully is getting repaired this fall by Bio-Habitats, who is under contract from FPC.  The money was obtained through a Federal competitive grant called "Going Greener".  This and four other gullies are being repaired, but the trail work is not covered in the scope.  They will repair the trail where the gully crosses it, but to make it more stable and funner, we will have to do the work.  I think we are going to work here in conjunction with out August 28th Trail Day
