so I just got back from my ride, conditions are perfect out so hopefully everyone got to enjoy. I rode out from the pavillion towards the bowl and then back. On my way out, I ran across two guys for the second time in the past week, both not wearing helmets. Both of them had gone off trail and were blazing that off trail section where the drop is by the first bridge after the pavilion. one did the drop, the other made his own trail. they did the same thing the other day. So I say to myself, ok, if they want to be ignorant, let them.
I continue on my ride, get to the bowl and there are about 6 guys there that Ive never seen, the 2 guys from before and 2 other guys I had seen. Only the latter were wearing helmets. someone want to explain this to me? Is it cool again now to temp fate and not wear a lid? I couldnt even stand to be there, Im the type of person who would help anyone if they got hurt on the trail but for me I draw the line at not wearing a helmet. If you are stupid enough not to wear a helmet then you can help yourself off the trail. Whats worse is that the day that one of them does crash and needs to get taken out on a stretcher, that will be the day that they will have ruined it for everyone else. And my guess is that we could forget the bike park after that.

yea i was at the bowl on tuesday with some other PMBA people, when along comes this BMXer. i think that he just might have been the biggest poser that i have ever seen. he had a mohawk and a no sleeve shirt that looked like he cut the sleeves of himself. he had no helmet and was terrible. he fell on his first run and jeremy told me that they had seen him before, and told him to get a helmet. he had also been seen tampering with the jumps some other time which is just dangerous to others. he didnt even use the jumps that he was messing up.
ride the trail, dont let the trail ride you
