Anyone still ride around Jim Thorpe? Were all the good trails closed or clearcut? I never rode there, but we're thinking about getting a cabin up there so I'm wondering if there's still good riding around. -matt

thorpe is awesome.
there is TONS of riding in thorpe. you can buy the guide book at the local shop in town, or jump on garmin connect and get a feel for what's up there. Even if you don't have a GPS you can get a feel for what is up there.
Twin Peaks is one of my favorites. Most of the ride is not that technical, but you cover a lot of ground pretty quickly. The Power line Descent was a little gnarly when I was up there. big loose rocks...

There's still some good stuff up there, but it's not like what it was in the 90s. The Coalcracker is a good one and there is a new singletrack along the Lehigh Gorge trail that is pretty sweet. Some of the other stuff is hard to find and you'd be best getting a local to take you, but there are some sweet rides up there.
I live for singletrack!
