Trail day aftermath report
0 votes

I rode yesterday afternoon after the 2 days of intermitant rain we received. The late Sept trail day project off kitchen's la was a complete success!! No mud, puddles, etc. Planned run-off looked like it worked GREAT!

The only part that was wet was the area right next to Kitchen's La, immediatley after that brick "jump". But we worked on that during TM day, and it seemed only half as bad as before. Great Job Everyone!!

Who moved those 2 flat rocks on that technical uphill? Ruined the WHOLE parks "flow"!!  :)

Re: Trail day aftermath report

I rode through after the storms as well and I have to agree, so far it appears to be holding up well. It will take a few months to get beat in but it is a definate improvement. There is still some rain running straight down the hill up where the grass is right before you enter the woods, but with the very dry conditions followed by those significant rain storms it does not surprise me. The way the trail turns straight up that hill (when you're coming out of the woods from the reroute) makes it a fall line trail which should be avoided at all costs because you cannot stop it from eroding. We did not reroute that section, at least not yet.
