Hello I am David Haberstroh and I am in charge of organizing all the volunteers for the Rally in the Valley 2009. All I am asking on this forum is for those that are interested in volunteering to respond to me via my e-mail:
;D ;D ;D
david.haberstroh@verizon.net
Nice!!!
Now that we know the group leaders,
A list of volunteer names and e-mails is a great start. I can notify via e-mail all interested parties. If such has list has been created, please forward the contacts to me when you can, so Dave and I can get started.
A website list of activities our volunteers can do and have them choose from is also a good idea. I'll contact Hunter about this 'Volunteer for the Rally in the Valley!' website forum to see what he thinks and get the ball rolling ASAP
Thanks guys - I look forward to contributing to the success of another fantastic Rally in the Valley!
Riggs
Who's in charge of the beers after the rally?...
RAD is the best bike movie ever! I love my bikes and boards www.communitybikesandboards.com

That would be Rico. But not officially so forget I said that.

I volunteer to drink the beer!
Want me to ask Mad River in the Yunk on Main St to do some draft and or bottle beer special for us? That's if people want to go out to a bar after the event? Or we can do it keg style in my back yard!

If you need kegs and a coil box I am your man.
Unfortunately, I can't be partying afterwards. It seems that every year, my nephew's birthday party ends up getting scheduled the night of the Rally.

Ok ok, I'll cover your partying responsibilities, no worries.. ;D

(Laughing...) This thread has taken its inevitable course:
"You start out talking about volunteers..
You end up talking about drinking beers"
We do these things not because they are easy but because they are hard.
Well, back to the real meat of the thread. I believe that Riggs sent out an email to all the prior year volunteers asking for people to choose how they wanted to volunteer.
If anyone knows someone who wants to help, but wasn't on the list please forward the email along.
I should be able to help out with the Friday afternoon pre-Rally course markings and almost anything on Saturday.

Thanks Rico-

Throw me in for course set up. I'll probably have a rep in tow but it's a nice way to show him around.

Hey Dustin. If you'd like to be on the patrol or the marshal I can put you on our Marshal/patrol email list. Some people are already on it though we have not made any announcements to this group yet, they will be coming.
Anyone who wants to be part of this group please email myself or Chuck U . Once Chuck and I have our plan set we will contact the group.

Riggs:
I want to help out the day of the event. I have helped with registration, Children’s Activities and manned a checkpoint in previous years, but would also be willing to patrol or lead an intermediate ride.

Does anyone or can anyone have/put the flyer in a different format that ultimately makes the file size smaller?
I was trying to post a copy of the flyer on the MTBR.com site in the Pennsylvania section and the max PDF file size is 390.6 KB. Below are the file types accepted, max size and max width and height.
