Ok, I know we are in the woods, but this is so bad that I thought it was worth mentioning...

I rode on saturday AM before the storm.  My buddy and I both came up with some serious poison ivy or some other insanely itchy rash.  I think the only time we actually touched plant life was when we were heading south on the roxy side right before you cross Weiss's Mill road.  The brush was a little tight there and it slaps against your arms a lot.

we both got crazy rashes, and I almost never get poison ivy.  If you are very suseptable, take note.

clean off quickly after riding.  I usually keep lysol towels in the car for this exact purpose, but this time I only cleaned off my legs (I don't know why....stupid).

I'm probably itching my arms off while you read this.....AHHHHHHHH!

of course, it could be a while before anyone is riding again...

tree down- all PI!

on the roxy side- there is a big tree down.  its ALL PI ALL OVER IT.  It looks like leaves but its GIANT PI.

Walk around it.....  did you see the tree im talking about?

hiking around yesterday i

hiking around yesterday i came across what was probably the biggest poison ivy plant i've ever seen. it was full-blown tree-sized, not like the normal ground plant or vine.

Crazy. I get poison ivy

Crazy. I get poison ivy almost everytime I ride. It seems as if I dont even have to touch it and somehow I find a small patch starting to form on my arm or leg. Now, and especially this time of year I ride with long sleeves and long spandex pants.

@Jomissa,

is that the really leafy tree that was totally blocking the trail? if heading south, you had to scoot around it on the left?

or the one that you had to kind of squeeze between the uppe and lower branch?  that one was heading down toward Jannette st. I think....right?
