Signup sheets added up to 63 people, plus Kevin Groves, who technically isn't a volunteer, but puts in his lion share of hard work! The hours added up to massive 291.5 volunteer hours!!! That's a records since I've been keeping track. The only time we came close to that number was back in September of '07 when we had 255 hours. We had 17 Temple studets. Thank you very much for coming out and helping out! We had 29 PMBA members. And many more volunteers from other organizations like FOW, Wissahickon Wonderers as well as just concerned dedicated neighborhood volunteers.

Monthly Trail Maintenance Days organized by FOW

The Ride of Silence was established in 2003 to commemorate the death of a cyclist who was struck and killed by a bus. Since then, it has grown to become an international event, and it made its first appearance in Philadelphia last year.

Air time

13 riders including the President, and both VP's from PMBA led an epic urban assault from Manayunk to 2nd and South for beers and burgers at City Tavern.

Various park work projects undertaken by PMBA

PMBA, FOW and REI teamed up with volunteers to fix a washed out section of the Wissahickon Trail near the Walnut Lane Park. Altogether an estimated 10 tons of rocks, and an equal amount of fill dirt were moved in "armoring" the trail against future erosion.
